Jesus answering them began to say: Take heed that no man deceive you;
many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and shall deceive many.
But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed, because it needs be, but still not the end.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in many places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
But see for yourselves, for they will deliver you to councils and flog you in their synagogues, and before governors and kings because you take me as a witness to them.
And the gospel must be preached to all nations.
But when they bring you to give over, do not worry about what you say, nor think, but what has been granted to you in that hour, that speak, it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.
Now brother will betray brother to death, and the father the child: and children shall rise up against parents, and kill.
And everyone will hate you because of my name, but he who endures to the end shall be saved.
